About Pied Piper Pre-School
All our staff are qualified to NVQ level 3 in Early Years and Child Care and regularly attend refresher courses. We follow the early Years Foundation Curriculum, Every Child Matters and Every Child a Talker. Your child will have fun with us but learn at the same time; as well as making new friends and learning to mix with other children. We have a safe and secure outdoor play area which we use every day, weather permitting.
We operate a key worker system, which means that a member of staff is assigned to your child and assesses them regularly, which enables us to keep detailed records of your child’s progress. These records are available for you to see at any time, and the member of staff assigned to your child is available to discuss any concerns that you may have.
Where are we ?
We are conveniently situated in the centre of Silsden, in St James Church Hall.
From the Aire Valley Trunk Road, follow the signpost for Silsden, and proceed into the village. St. James Church can be found on the left-hand side of Kirkgate opposite the pay and display car park.
A small car park is adjacent to the church hall and can be used by parents. Extreme care must be taken to ensure the safety of all persons using the car park.
What is a Pre-School ?
At the Pied Piper we aim to provide a sale and happy environment where children and parents learn together through play. Children have the opportunity to experience a wide range of activities in a child centred environment.
We offer social and play experiences, which address issues relating to our forever changing society in terms of colour, creed, gender, ethnicity and disability.
The children learn to communicate in actions and words both with other children and with an enthusiastic and varied team of adults.
The children develop a growing degree of independence and by helping out on the parent rota; the adults can also learn to support each other and to run a safe and fruitful play experience for themselves and for the children in our community.
