Admissions to Pied Piper Pre-School

We are open Monday to Friday 9.15am until 12.15pm.

We are conveniently situated in the centre of Silsden, in St James Church Hall.

Details of fees can be found on the left hand side of this page. The terms and conditions of the Pre-school are available on request, and are listed below.

All three and four year olds are entitled to a funded pre-school education place from the term following their third birthday. Our staff can inform you of your entitlement which we can automatically arrange via the local authority. Further information can be found at Bradford Council's website. Please contact us for details of the childcare vouchers that we accept.

Term and Conditions

The care of children is obviously a great responsibility and it is important that both parents and staff are completely clear about the terms of our care.  We would be grateful if you would take a moment to read this term and conditions and keep them for future reference.

Registration
At Pied Piper we can only accept children for whom we hold a completed registration form and who are between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. An application to join form can be downloaded here.

Opening Times
Pre-school is open from 9.15am until 12.15pm Monday to Friday inclusive.  Longer hours are sometimes available if the demand is there.  Please ask for details of these hours.  Holidays usually co-inside with the school holidays.

Payment of fees
We prefer fees to be paid half termly at the beginning of each half-term, but we will accept payment on a weekly basis if it is more convenient.  Fees must be settled before the last week of term.

Absences
Please inform the pre-school if your child is going to be absent, unfortunately due to ongoing staff costs fees are still due for absences.

Collecting your child
The staff must be aware of who is collecting your child/children from pre-school.  If anyone else is to collect the child it is of paramount importance that the leaders are informed at the earliest opportunity.

If your child has not been collected from pre-school, the staff will try to contact the parent/carer.  If they cannot be contacted the staff will then try to contact the emergency contact person.

Nursery Education Grant
Your child will be eligible for this grant the term after their third birthday.  They will be entitled to a maximum of five sessions per week.  Forms can be obtained from pre-school.

Medicines
Medicines can only be given at Pied Piper if an appropriate form giving clear instructions regarding the administration and dosage is signed by a parent/carer.

What to do if your child is ill
If you suspect that your child is ill we would prefer that you didn’t bring them to pre-school.

Should they become ill at pre-school, the pre-school leader will contact the parent or emergency contact number to arrange for collections.

In the case of serious accident an ambulance will be called.  Under no circumstances can staff take children to hospital in their own car.

Children who have suffered from sickness and diarrhoea must be kept at home for 48 hours after they have recovered from this.  This is to stop the infection spreading.

Newsletter
A newsletter is published every half term with information/dates applicable for that term.  Updates on the terms activities, planning, and key workers names etc. can be found on our notice board in the entrance hall.
