Welcome back. We hope you all had a great Easter break.

Fund Raising,
Thank you to everyone who took part in our Easter egg rolling event. So far we have raised £72. This has gone towards much needed glue, paint and craft materials. Also thank you to all the children who did our sport relief morning. £15 was sent off for this good cause. Photos of these two days can be seen on our website.

New Member of Staff,
We welcome a new member of staff to Pied Piper. Val will be taking charge of our outdoor play. Val has a range of planned activities which promote the areas of learning within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Group Photo,
Karen will be back on the 22nd May to take a group photo of the class of 2012. If your child does not attend on this day but would like to be included, please bring them along at 9.15am.

Parents as Partners,
We are going to be adding a new section to our website. This will include articles and information you as parents would like to see. To help us Gemma Campbell Midford (Lydia’s mum) will become Pied Pipers Parent Rep. Gemma has under taken training and will be registered with Ofsted very shortly as a child minder. In this role Gemma understands both sides as being a parent of young children and working within the Early Years Foundation stage. Meeting goals and promoting good practice. Gemma will be setting up an email address for anyone to contact her regarding any issues they may need to discuss as parents. Gemma will then feed back to us so we can deliver a good quality service to meet the needs of both children and parents.

Spring Raffle,
We will be having a spring raffle this term. This will be a hamper filled with goodies to enjoy outside. Tickets will go on sale later in the term. Monies made will go towards new outdoor equipment ready for summer play.

Newsletter by Email,
As our Pre-School is growing we are finding we have to print out over 30 newsletters and 60 invoices six times a year as well as any other notices. As a Pre-School we don’t want to have to fund raise for item such as paper and ink, as we believe this money should go straight back to the children’s activities. We would like to ask you to help by cutting this down by us emailing you your newsletter and any other notices. Invoices will still be kept as a hard copy as these can change from child to child. If you are interested in this please return the tear of strip and hand to a member of staff.
